We hope to see all students at this Friday's Back-to-School BASH from 3:30-5:00pm in the gym. Tickets are $4 at the door. This is our FIRST dance in several years, so we want to have a great turnout! #sparkpride
We will be postponing FOOTBALL practice to Tuesday to allow students and staff who would like to attend Bonnie Moody’s funeral and visitation to have the ability to do so. Mrs. Moody was a member of the PMS staff for over 20 years and had an incredible impact on many individuals in our community. Due to Mrs. Moody’s funeral being on Monday at 3:00pm I will be postponing volleyball tryouts until Tuesday 8/2 from 3:45-5:45. Mrs. Moody was a beloved member of Pickens Middle School Staff for 25 years and touched many lives throughout her time at Pickens, mine included.

We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of Mrs. Bonnie Moody, longtime ISS Instructor and member of the Pickens Middle family. Mrs. Moody fought cancer valiantly for many years and was a role model for our staff and students in her efforts to never give up in her fight. She will be remembered fondly for her fiery spirit and personality, and she will be sorely missed by the SPARK NATION. #sparkpride

VOLLEYBALL tryouts begin Mon., 8/1 from 3:30-5:30pm. Tues., 8/2 and Wed., 8/3 will be from 3:45-5:45pm. You must have a current physical turned in to Coach Henderson or bring one with you in order to participate. 7th grade-please wear GRAY shirts on 8/1; 8th grade-BLUE shirts.

We are so pleased to welcome Mrs. Dana Fowler to the English department at Pickens Middle School this year! Mrs. Fowler brings some great experience with her and will be a valued addition.
Dana Fowler is a Pickens native and has been in education for 15 years at the secondary level. When she is not teaching, she is a busy mom of three. Dana's hobbies consist of reading about the royal family, shopping for bargains, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

A message from Ms. Heath:
I am Ashley Lark Heath, the new head guidance counselor at Pickens Middle. I grew up in Pickens, attending both Pickens Middle and Pickens High. After graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education, I moved to North Carolina and taught 6th grade ELA/SS for 8 years. I moved back to Pickens in 2019 and have spent the last 3 years teaching 5th grade ELA at Six Mile Elementary. Currently I am in graduate school to obtain a Master’s in School Counseling. Being a middle school counselor has been my dream for many years, and I am thrilled about this opportunity to join the Pickens Middle family!
